Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced underground Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at the Hemlo Operations near Marathon, Ontario.
Working a 14-days on / 14-days off rotation, this position is a "drive in/drive out" role for those outside the Marathon region.
Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of day-to-day safety initiatives. These may include a wide range of functions, but not limited to job observations, safety audits, risk assessments and hazard identifications, emergency response among other tasks as required.
The candidate is also well versed in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Mining Regulations and will provide advice/guidance to both contractors and staff.
