Supported by a safe and performance orientated culture, AUMS believe investing in our people and backing them with state of the art equipment and world's best practice is critical to the success of our numerous operations across Africa.The Training Coordinator (Operator Programs) for Barminco will establish and improve inductions and operator programs to ensure new employees can assume their duties competently and safely. The position will support both off and on-site training programs and work with leaders, site trainers and employees to ensure learning outcomes are achieved. Key Responsibilities will include: Identify the training needs of Barminco’s Zone 5 new starters and work with key stakeholders to develop fit for purpose programs in line with AQTF and relevant international equivalents (BQA).Coordinate training for new employees (mining entry roles) and ensure training is effectively delivered and monitored across both off-site and on-site locations.Analyze UG mobile equipment performance data to identify and address variability in operator capability and performance.Develop and integrate UG Mining Simulator training programs focusing on operating for safety, reliability and productivity performance and assist in developing operator score cards to measure performance in training and on-the-job.Look for opportunities to innovate Barminco’s training programs and assist in establishing fit for purpose training facilities that are appropriately resourced to facilitate operator training.Implement and monitor document control standards for operator training programs and ensure the integrity of training data is maintained within the LMS.Audit training delivery and measure training impacts both internally and externally to ensure training needs are being addressed and training standards are continuously improved  Qualifications and Skills necessary: Hold a Certificate IV training qualification and greater than 5 years’ experience in training leadership roles, specifically related to mining.Underground operational experience and experience in operating mobile mining equipment.Experience in establishing operator training programs for “Greenfield Projects” and in establishing fit for purpose training venues.International mining experience and the ability to adapt programs to meet the cultural learning needs of Nationals.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels within an organization and can always maintain professional decorumExtensive knowledge of relevant Mining Legislation, Acts, Regs and Standards that need to be referenced within induction and trades training programs and the ability to source equivalent legal references for international operations.Extensive knowledge of AQTF and the ability to map training programs to nationally recognized units of competence.Experience in applying learning technology in program design and experience in utilizing mining simulators (including virtual reality VR) for effect. 175000 AUD Nation - Other - Overseas Middle East & Africa Sub-Saharan Africa Gaborone

Qualifications and Skills necessary:

 

  • Hold a Certificate IV training qualification and greater than 5 years’ experience in training leadership roles, specifically related to mining.
  • Underground operational experience and experience in operating mobile mining equipment.
