Alternate Project Manager

Since 2007 African Underground Mining Services (AUMS) has provided unmatched mechanised underground mining services across numerous projects in Africa. AUMS is dedicated to achieving the highest global standards in underground mining with a specific focus on sharing this mining knowledge across all levels of the business.  We embed a core group of the very best mining leaders and professionals from around the world at every project, then recruit and train local staff in every country who will become the operators and leaders of tomorrow. To date, we have trained over 20,000 Africans and developed over 100 African expatriates.In line with Barminco and AUMS forecasted growth, we are seeking applications from experienced Alternate Project Managers to join our West African operations in Burkina Faso. Key Requirements; 

  • Previous experience working as an Alternate or Project Manager
  • Substantial experience working underground in high-speed development, mechanised mines
  • Excellent working knowledge of technical, and operating processes relevant to mine planning and scheduling
  • Proven business acumen with the ability to interpret and prepare high-level reports
  • Advanced communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal
  • A valid Western Australian Underground Supervisor's certificate
  • All valid and relevant qualifications, degrees and diplomas within Mining Engineering (desirable)
  • A valid Manual International driver's license
  • National Police Clearance
