Barminco is looking for Diamond Drill Assistants who are ready to take the next step with their career moving into a Driller role.

The Opportunity:

Barminco is currently seeking experienced Underground Diamond Driller Assistants or Trainee Drillers ready to make their move into a Driller position. Barminco will provide comprehensive training to upskill you to the next level of your career.

Reporting to the Drill Supervisor you will be trained in the safe and efficient operation of drill rigs at one of our FIFO operations. This exciting and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career working alongside experienced industry professionals in a, dynamic, safe and results focused environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the ability and knowledge of drill rigs performance and capabilities, including functions of controls, gauges, warning lamps and emergency procedures
• Working towards operating drill rigs safety and understanding all drill rigs safety features (inclusive of any industry safety legislation.)
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, Barminco’s employees, Management, team members, client representatives, and industrial relations contacts
• Ensure a safe workplace for all stakeholders by maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies & procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an Underground Diamond Drill Assistant
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
• Current National Police Clearance (or able to obtain one)
• Drilling Certification is desirable
• First Aid Certificate is desirable
• Working at Heights Certificate is preferred
