With new projects forecasted, this will see Barminco and AUMS grow to over 4,300 employees in 2021.The Opportunity:Barminco Ltd is currently seeking suitably experienced Underground Diamond Drillers for a mine site based in New South Wales.Reporting to the Drill Supervisor you will be required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of drill rigs in the day to day operations. Positions offered are fly in/fly out from various locations , rosters varying to account for current social climate.This challenging and rewarding role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Working knowledge of drill rig performance and capabilities, including functions of controls, gauges, warning lamps and emergency procedures;Ability to operate drill rig safety and understanding all drill rig safety features (inclusive of any industry safety legislation.);Ability to mentor, coach and train the Offsider in the day to day tasks required of running a rig;Ability to organise and establish priorities, following up on outstanding tasks and closing out any completed works/task where necessary;Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, Barminco’s employees, Management, team members, client representatives, and industrial relations contacts;Ensure a safe workplace for all stakeholders by maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies & procedures.Minimum Requirements:Previous experience working as an Underground Diamond Driller;Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence;Acceptable National Police Clearance (Or able to obtain one);A positive work ethic in line with company values;A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification;Drilling Certification is desirableFirst Aid Certificate is desirable;Working @ Heights Certificate is preferred.The successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including drug and alcohol screening prior to an Offer of Employment being made.Barminco people are the best miners in the worldOur ability to attract and retain the very best people in the industry stems directly from an underlying belief that our people are our business.
