Our capability is critical to our success, and we are looking for people who are talented, share our core values and are as committed to creating value for our clients as we are.In line with Barminco's continued growth, we are seeking applications from graduate Mechanical Engineers to join our team.Reporting to the Group Manager Assets this position will enable you to be at the forefront of asset management and provide a broad spectrum of Mechanical Engineering processes and systems support to the Mining ISG, consisting of plant and equipment technological, analytical, financial and economical, mechanical performance, design, operation and maintenance facets, with a hands on approach to solving problems. Key Requirements;  

  • Be able to provide researched justification for any strategy change request
  • Ongoing monitoring of plant reliability and development of improvement strategies
  • Reliability to monitor, review, and update fleet planning processes in consultation with the Asset Management team
  • Implement and conduct RCM considering the following core components:
    • Preventative Maintenance performance
    • Predictive Testing and Inspection results
    • Proactive Maintenance (Age exploration, FMECA, RCA)
  • Identify operational factors that can impact equipment reliability
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced reliability program
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of continuous improvement programs considering KPI and reliability results
  • Monitor diagnostic and condition monitoring activities when needed to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Standardise Reliability Reports and KPI’s

  • Valid and relevant Tertiary qualifications, certificates and licences
  • Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence
  • National Police Clearance

Desirable Pre-requisites;

  • Previous experience in the mining environment
  • On site experience desirable
  • Provision of technical engineering support
  • Experience and ability to manage small to medium sized projects
  • Experience and ability to manage groups of personnel
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office and data analysis reporting tools
  • Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Robust understanding of Whole of Life asset management philosophy
  • Robust understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance principles (RCM)
  • All valid and relevant Tertiary qualifications, certificates and licences within Mining Engineering
