Reporting to the Project Manager this position will work an 8 week on 6 weeks off roster.Key Requirements;Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-speed development, mechanised mining environmentWA Underground Supervisor’s certificate of competency or equivalentStrong understanding of, and experience with, modern production techniquesProven ability to plan and coordinate the activities of multiple teams and a large and modern fleet of mining equipment engaged in underground mining activitiesAdherence to mining laws and safety regulations, and ability to issue directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulationsProven ability to review and consolidate records, such as safety reports and production records.Manage the Underground Shift Supervisors and provide direction and assistance with planning of mining activities in accordance with the Mines Act & relevant Safety and Environmental regulationsProven ability to liaise with appropriate client contacts and ensure expectations are realistic and projected targets are achieved safely and to specificationsPrevious experience acting as Relief /Alternate Site Manager during their absence, adhering to agreed schedules, programs and targetsAll valid and relevant qualifications, certificates and licences (RPL’s)Valid Manual Australian Driver’s LicenceCurrent National Police Clearance (valid within six months)Barminco people are the best miners in the world Our ability to attract and retain the very best people in the industry stems directly from an underlying belief that our people are our business.
