In line with forecasted growth, we are seeking applications from experienced Mine Foremen to join our Obuasi, Ghana Operations. About the role

Key Requirements;

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a high-speed development, mechanised mining environment
  • WA Underground Supervisor’s certificate of competency or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, modern production techniques
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate the activities of multiple teams and a large and modern fleet of mining equipment engaged in underground mining activities
  • Adherence to mining laws and safety regulations, and ability to issue directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations
  • Proven ability to review and consolidate records, such as safety reports and production records.
  • Manage the Underground Shift Supervisors and provide direction and assistance with planning of mining activities in accordance with the Mines Act & relevant Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Proven ability to liaise with appropriate client contacts and ensure expectations are realistic and projected targets are achieved safely and to specifications
  • Previous experience acting as Relief /Alternate Site Manager during their absence, adhering to agreed schedules, programs and targets
