Zone 5 is located in Maun in the north west of Botswana in a highly prospective area for future underground mines known as the Kalahari copper belt.We are seeking highly competent and proficient underground mining employees for the following position. To be considered for this role you must value Safety, Excellence and Integrity and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in high speed development, mechanised underground mining. MINE FOREMEN/SUPERINTENDENTThis purpose of this position is to establish and continuously improveinductions and training programs to ensure UG Operators can assume theirduties safely and competently. Have the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of multipleteams and a large and modern fleet of mining equipmentengaged in underground mining activities.Show advanced understanding of high-speed development,mechanised underground mining experience with provenability to execute to plan and achieve set targets.Demonstrate a strong understanding of and experience withmodern production techniques inclusive of longhole drillingwith both longhole and ITH rigs as well as knowledge of raisingwith ITH and boxhole and electronic blasting.Directing workers in ensuring adherence to the applicablemining laws and safety regulations and enforcing standards.Carry out regular inspections at the mine and maintenanceareas and rectify any safety concerns in a timely manner.Demonstrated ability to work closely with client teams andassist with weekly, monthly and rolling 3-month planning.Advanced in English communication and writing skills.  180000 AUD Nation - Other - Overseas Middle East & Africa Sub-Saharan Africa Gaborone
