Barminco is one of the world's largest, hard rock mining companies with over three decades of experience. We are currently developing over 120 kilometres per year, and mining above 10 million tonnes on our multi-million-dollar fleet of underground mining equipment. With new projects forecasted, this will see Barminco and AUMS grow to over 5,100 employees in 2021, across 25 projects in seven countries. We are looking for an aspiring Project Manager - Alternate to join our team on FIFO either 15/13 or 8/6 roster from Perth on our Wallaby project. With support from our operations team, you will be a visible and respected site leader. We are looking for an aspiring Project Manager - Alternate to join our team on FIFO either 15/13 or 8/6 roster from Perth on our Wallaby project. Key Requirements:

  • 15+ years’ experience in underground mining including exposure to Mine Foreman, Mine Superintendent or Alternate Project Manager roles
  • Provide leadership of the project plan, deliver to project timelines, and ensure all relevant compliance is adhered to
  • Maintain and implement Health and Safety on site by complying with relevant state legislation, acts, regulations, company procedures and site requirements
  • Ensure all project personnel operate safely and comply with all acts, regulations, laws and client rules and regulation applicable to the contract
  • Maximise project profitability and assume overall accountability for the delivery of the project
  • Ensure quality requirements are met and reported on
  • Ensure the progress of the project is accurately reported
  • Lead the client relationship
  • Ensure the project is adequately resourced to maintain project timelines
  • Monitor the management of the critical risk register for the entire project and ensure mandatory controls are in place
  • Excellent working knowledge of technical, and operating processes relevant to mine planning and scheduling
  • Proven business acumen with the ability to interpret and prepare high-level reports
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • All valid and relevant Tertiary qualifications, degrees, and diplomas within Mining Engineering (desirable)
  • A valid Manual Australian driver's license
  • National Police clearance (within 6 months) or the ability to obtain one
