We are seeking applications from an experienced Technical Services Manager working on a 6:3 roster, FIFO from any major capital city around the world.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complies with all HS&E policies, procedures and instructions.
• Ensure an intimate understanding of the site contract, variations and management plans and ensure that AUMS is compliant with these requirements.
• Ensure client requirements are met contractually and maintain a favourable relationship with the client.
• Use analysis and implementation of cost reduction initiatives.

• Budget preparation.

• Conduct daily work planning/toolbox meetings to ensure clear and concise instructions for the personnel and ensure it is followed.
• Be accountable for the safe and productive achievement of clearly defined performance KPIs and scheduled targets.
• Provide visible leadership and mentoring of personnel as a leader in the organization.

Key requirements:

• Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers (FCMM) Certificate of Competency.

• Demonstrated experience of assistance management role in high productivity underground contracting environment with world class productivities (250 meter per month per jumbo, 50000 ore tonnes per month)
• A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times.
• Experience managing a team of engineers and graduates.
• In-depth knowledge of MinRep, Deswick and Surpac and be able to design and implement relevant templates for reporting and recording.

• A current recognized underground shift supervisor’s ticket is essential
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months) and valid Driver’s License
