Underground Mining Alliance (UMA) is helping strengthen access to community healthcare through the provision of essential medical equipment and consumables to the Amomaso Health Facility, located within the communities surrounding its operations at Subika.
The support is helping the facility deliver primary and preventive healthcare services to local and underserved populations, providing healthcare workers with additional resources to respond to community needs.
By strengthening the facility’s capacity to provide care, the initiative supports earlier detection and intervention for common health conditions and contributes to more equitable access to health services for rural communities.

UMA is a joint venture between Barminco and Rocksure International Limited, delivering underground mining services at Newmont Corporation’s Subika Gold Mine in Ghana.
