Kickstart your mining career

Start your mining career with Barminco by applying to join our Vacation Work Program.

The program is open to students currently completing a tertiary degree in Mining Engineering, other Engineering fields relevant to our Mechanical or Mining Technology programs and students studying Health, Safety & Environment and Training degrees. Our program is designed for students to gain valuable underground experience. We encourage successful students to participate in further vacation work (including winter work) with us over the course of their degree, with the goal of joining the Barminco Graduate Program upon final completion.

During the program you will

Have the opportunity to actively participate in a variety of hands-on underground tasks, complementing your theoretical learnings
Work a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster at some of Australia’s best mining operations
Be competitively remunerated
